This product is amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Andalusian Coturnix are a rare and visually striking variety known for their cool-toned, slate-blue feathering. These birds are part of a limited genetic pool within the Coturnix family, making them highly sought after for breeding projects focused on color refinement, flock diversity, and rare quail genetics. Whether you're expanding your color palette or starting a new line, these hatching eggs offer a strong foundation for long-term genetic work.

🪶 Physical Features and Traits

  • Appearance: Slate-blue to powder-gray feathering, often with subtle lacing or smoky undertones; clean and uniform color presentation is the goal of this line.

  • Production: Quail from this line grow rapidly and begin laying as early as 6–8 weeks, consistent with standard Coturnix development.

  • Rarity: The Andalusian variety is not commonly found in large hatcheries or farm supply chains, making these genetics prized among quail breeders.

  • Hatch Rate Expectation: Variability may occur due to shipping and handling of rare lines.

💡 Why Choose Andalusian Coturnix Hatching Eggs?

This line is ideal for breeders looking to work with rare Coturnix genetics, expand color diversity in their flock, or develop breeding projects centered around uniform, blue-toned feathering. Unlike common brown or jumbo quail, the Andalusian coloration is still being refined, offering breeders the chance to contribute to and shape a unique line. These birds add both visual appeal and genetic depth to any serious quail program.

🔑 Key Features:

  • Rare, slate-blue to powder-gray feather genetics

  • Strong foundation for selective breeding programs

  • Adds high-value diversity to your Coturnix flock

  • Ships fresh, fertile, and ready to incubate

  • Ideal for color-focused or exhibition breeders

Whether you're a serious Coturnix breeder or a homesteader looking to add something truly unique, Andalusian hatching eggs offer the opportunity to raise standout birds and contribute to the advancement of a rare color line.

Do you offer local pickup?

We offer scheduled local pickup for pullets and adult hens in Arizona through meetups in cities like Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Globe, Waddell, and Tucson. We do not operate a walk-in retail store or farm tours. Baby chicks, hatching eggs and quail are raised at our Texas location and ship by mail.

What time of year can you ship baby chicks?

Because we ship from Texas rather than directly out of Arizona's hottest months, we can offer baby chicks most of the year with adjustments around extreme heat or cold. Peak chick season fills early, so it's smart to reserve your ship window in advance for the breeds you want even though we do have off-season availability.

Where are you located?

The Arizona location is near Globe, AZ, though we do not operate a store. It is our home and farm. The Arizona location manages our seasonally grown hen orders. The Texas farm is located near Tyler, TX. The Texas location manages our breeders, baby chicks and quail. We ship year round from our Texas farm supporting families around the US.
