Do you offer local pickup instead of shipping?

We offer scheduled local pickup for certain pullets and adult hens in Arizona through meetups in cities like Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Globe, Waddell, and Tucson, but do not operate a walk-in retail store or farm tours. Baby chicks and quail are raised at our Texas location and ship by mail, while hatching eggs are also shipped rather than picked up locally.

Do you offer refunds or returns on live animals after they arrive?

Live animal purchases are not returnable and are generally not refunded once birds have shipped or arrived because of the biological risks and handling involved. Instead, we use a combination of live-arrival guarantees, store credit, and replacement options for documented issues that fall within our posted policies and timeframes.

How does local pickup work for pullets and hens?

After you order eligible pullets or hens, we email you when they’re ready and coordinate a pickup date, time, and location from our route calendar. Birds are pre-boxed for you so you don’t need to bring crates, and because of biosecurity and logistics, local pickup orders are generally considered final sale once you leave with your birds.

What else should I add to my cart with pullets or hens?

Pullets and hens benefit from the same high-protein, Arizona-appropriate feed recommendations as chicks, plus layer grit and a dedicated calcium source like oyster shell once they start laying. Many customers also add hemp or premium bedding, electrolytes for summer, and supplements such as NutriBalancer or breeder formulas to support long-term health and production.

Can I add an extended warranty after placing my order?

Yes, extended coverage such as GritShieldâ„¢ can usually be added as long as your birds have not shipped yet, so contact support promptly if you decide you want extra protection. Once birds are in transit, new warranty add-ons are limited availability.
