Olive Moss Egger Hatching Eggs - Premium Dark Egg Layer Genetics

Moss Eggers are hybrid chickens that typically lay various shades of darker Olive or Moss-colored eggs. They are created by crossing a dark brown egg layer with a blue egg layer. A common cross is Creme Crested Legbar with a Black Copper Maran to create the olive colored eggs. We have 2 different crosses in our flocks so that means some beautiful egg colors and chickens.

Our Moss Eggers can be black, blue, or chipmunk and will lay varying shades of olive-Moss coloring with possible speckles and heavy blooms. With each passing generation, olive eggs will be darker, creating an increased risk of offspring laying brown eggs. The chicks you receive will be from our F3-F7 generations.

There is also a small few with varying degrees of Fibro or Fibromelanism, in some of our Olive Egger flock. The Fibro Olive Eggers could give self-blue (lavender) or blue colored chickens depending on what cross is received.

  • 200-300 eggs per year
  • Olive colored eggs, varying degrees of speckles, blooms and possible brown
  • Average weight: 5.5 lbs hens / 7 lbs roosters

We also offer chicks for this breed.

Are you responsible for USPS delays?

We hand off healthy, properly packed birds and eggs on our normal schedule, but transit timing is controlled by USPS, so delivery speed itself is not guaranteed and is outside our direct control. Our guarantees focus on condition on arrival and clear documentation of any losses, not on whether the box was delayed a day in the postal network.

Can I cancel a hatching egg order?

Hatching egg orders can be cancelled if they haven’t been fulfilled or shipped yet, but a cancellation fee applies because of the labor required to collect, reserve, and prepare your eggs. Once eggs are fulfilled, in transit, or delivered, financial compensation is no longer available, so reach out quickly if you need to change plans.

Can I pick up hatching eggs in person instead of having them shipped?

We do not offer local pickup for hatching eggs; all egg orders are packed and shipped to you to keep collection, handling, and biosecurity consistent. If you live nearby and want a more hands-on option, consider ordering chicks or pullets instead, which are available via local pickup or shipment depending on age and season.
